Ua fiafia matou tamaiti e pepese ma sisiva i luma o matou uo fou!

We had so much fun sharing our songs and dances with our friends from Glenbrae kids!
They even shared their Samoan song with us!

Galuega Taulima - Eleiga

O le Aso Lulu 27/5/2015 sa asiasi mai le aoga Cook Island o Apii Potiki Glen Innes Community Preschool, i le maimoaina o le faiga o le elei Samoa.

Galuega Taulima - Titi Fulumoa ma le Pale Anina

During Samoan Language week the children have been working hard to make beautiful teuga faa-samoa - titi fulumoa and pale anina!

Fa'ataua le Gagana Samoa - Tala Fa'a-fagogo

Oka le fiafia o tamaiti ua fa'alogo ma matamata i le tala ia
Tapitofau ma Ogafau.
Ese le manaia le tala sa fa'atinoina e faiaoga, sa fa'aaogaoina puppets.

The children listened and watched the story about Tapitofau ma Ogafau.
Teachers used puppets to retell the story that the children enjoy.
The children were able to join in on the counting and telling of the story!

Our centre planning for June 2014 was Gagana Samoa - Samoan Language.  To close our theme for the month we celebrated in true Samoan style, with a huge bang.  We invited our aiga/whanau/family and community,  and we were honoured to have a special guest MP for Maungakiekie Peseta Sam Lotu I'iga to join in the celebration.  Thank you to all our aiga/whanau/family and community, but especially the Teachers and wonderful children of the Aoga for preparing such a great event.  Click here to see more photos.

Aoaoina le gagana Samoa i le faletusi Glen Innes.

The Vasega go to Glen Innes Library every Friday.  During Samoan language week they listened to a well known Samoan myth called, Sina and Tuna.  At the end of the story the vasega children stood up and sang a song about the story.  Later, we sang 'Savalivali means go for a walk' then coloured in some pictures of flowers (aute).  Malo lava tamaiiti!  Tuu mau lou measina.
