Matariki Rising - Matariki Extravaganza in Glen Innes
This series of arts workshops and presentations throughout the Matariki Trail week culminates in a grand finale concert with local Tamaki talent performing alongside established Kiwi musicians.

- Raranga (Tuesday): Traditional and contemporary weaving arts
- Gardening (Wednesday): Traditional approaches to growing foods and medicinal plants
- Rongoa (Thursday): Traditional medicinal plants and practices
- Matariki (Friday): Historical relevance of Matariki from a Māori and Pacific perspective
- Whakangahau (Saturday): Two hour concert prior to the Light Trail starting.
